Refuse is a fusecore-metal formation from Utrecht, Holland that distinghuishes itself from other new-metal bands by grunge and drum n bass influences in the music.
From the beginning on, in 1995, Refuse has built up a good reputation by winning several bandcompetitions, playing at Paradiso (Amsterdam, Holland) and by doing at least 100 other gigs in Holland.
In 2001 refuse published their new album called “bout a word”, an album containing 5 songs loaded with hate, love and anger. It is recorded by Tsjernosyl at studio Moskou, Utrecht. Mixed and produced by refuse. With this album refuse has proved that they have grown fast and are ready for the big stage.
In 1999 refuse published their debut album called "Soulditch". Both albums can be purchased for 15 dutch guilders or 7 Euro each. Hopefully soon on the website as well. Between these two albums refuse released a live demo called “live stage rage”, recorded in 2000 at Confetti, Maarssen by Venemaximaal productions.
Refuse's repertoire can be seen as a home between the dimensions of Deftones, Machinehead and Alice in chains. The band refers to it as "Fusecore-metal". A mix of powermetal, hardcore, spookycore, grunge and drum n bass.
The appearance on stage is professional, energetic and intense, just like it should be in heavy, though sensitive music. Througout the years, the bandmembers have also had a lot of experience in other projects such as: Scientific, Absent mind and The........klik voor volledige biografie Refuse
